Surroundings
Priorat: The region of Priorat, known by its excellent collection of wines with Protected Designation of Origin, is a paradigm of the natural diversity of landscapes that emerges in a physical space relatively reduced. This region is conformed by the lands of the valley of Siruana and it is structured as an amphitheatre that opens to the Ebro, where the mountain ranges of Figuera, Montsant and Gritilla are located to the north and the mountain ranges of LLaberia and La Mola, Banda Marina, and the Figuera and Tormo to the east. It has valleys and gorges of outstanding natural value. Honouring its name, it holds many hermitages, memories from the past that bloom in this preserved and respected space due to its richness of flora and fauna.
Another protected zone is conformed by the mountain ranges of Llaberia-La Mola, which like its neighbour allows to do excursions and trekking while one breaths the magic of this privileged spaces of the nature, where one can discover towns with a special charm (Porrera, Siurana, Bellmunt del Priorat…).
One must visit Falset, the capital of Priorat, located in a valley confined by mountains such as the Roca Roja, the Morral and the mountain range of LLaberia.
