Near the town of Riudoms we find the property of Mas Castells 1827.
An automatic system will open the door for us to a way that has on its left the old masía, "El Mas de les Bombes", were in previous times the water was pumped to irrigate the crops of the zone. Following the path, between fruit trees and vegetable gardens, we pass to the right of the building "El Xalet" (where the owners live). A few meters from this building we find "Mas Castells".
The first we see is the splendid space for barbecue: "El Rafal, a zone surrounded by pine trees where we find the swimming pool and the Jacuzzi within a frame of natural grass and palm trees. The garden has a booth where one finds dressing rooms for the swimming pool, showers, a very big barbecue (to cook calçots and other culinary delights,) and a kitchen. Near this zone we find a space with pine trees, "El Resguard", ideal to read or play chess on a big table made of stone that has the board carved on the top.
To take advantage of the sports that offers the same house: soccer field 7, basket ,volleyball, firing range with arch... and room of games with Ping-Pong, reveille and futbolin.
Mas Castells:
The house of the 1st Floor "La Casa Gran": Going up the stairs we enter the house, where we find the hall and the big kitchen-dinning room with a chimney. From the same corridor one can access the terrace, which has magnificent views of the property and from where the sea is visible (3 kilometres away). Also through the corridor we get to the two double bedrooms that share a complete bathroom (which can also be used as bathroom during the day). One of these bedrooms has direct access to a spacious terrace with views of the property. If we continue through the corridor we will find 4 double bedrooms with a bathroom in each of them. On of this bedrooms has a bathtub and the other three have showers.
The Ground Floor "Cal Masover": One gets to it through an independent staircase. Just entering the house we find two double bedrooms, each one at one side of the corridor. If we cross the door, we enter to the dinning room that has a chimney, and where there is access to another bedroom. At the other side of the dinning room the two complete bathrooms, a bedroom and a spacious and luminous kitchen are located.
Capacity: Mas Castells
Mas Castells can lodge between 20 and 26 persons; 12 to 16 on the upper floor and 8 to 10 on the ground floor. Both houses can be rented together, for a total of 20 to 26 persons, or independently "with the keys in your hand". Thus it is possible to rent "La Casa Gran" (12 to 16 persons) and "Cal Masover" (8 to 10 persons) separately.
